There is not much published about the plot, unless it falls between the first game, and the fourth Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The film is Solid Snake and Otacon travel around the world to destroy Metal Gear Units, before they interfered with the ideology of mutual destruction.

Philanthropy examines ideas such as genetics, the development of a recurring theme in the Metal Gear series, Memetics, the study of culture, habits and information to expand, how they used and abused.
